WS:Response Tracker and WS:Response Logger are members of Websetters family of Microsoft Office Add-Ins and make up the WS:Response Suite. These Addins extends the functionality of Microsoft Outlook 2000, 2002 and 2003.

Description
With the increased importance of responding to customers and others in a timely and efficient manner it is increasingly common to install Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems that help manage third party interaction and communications. WS:Response Tracker and WS:Response Logger provide a cost effective solution that provides the ability to report on the time it takes to respond to emails.

Extracts are generated as tab delimited files, enabling email response statistics to be imported into a variety of reporting tools such as Excel and Crystal Reports to produce mail response reporting by date, mail item and user.

The resulting extracted file from WS:Response Tracker is a tab delimited text file. To report on the extracted information, see the following details using Microsoft Excel.

Creating Response Report using Microsoft Excel

  1. Open Microsoft Excel and create a new worksheet
  2. Select the cell where you wish the report to begin
  3. Select the Data/Get External Data/Import Text File... menu option
  4. Select the file created by the Extract option in WS:Response Tracker
  5. You will then be presented with the Text Import Wizard
  6. You may step through the three steps of the wizard, or just select Finish as step 1
  7. Confirm the worksheet/cell location to place the imported data
  8. The data will then be displayed

Columns 7 and 8 are calculated in hours. 1 hour 30 mins will be represented as 1.5 hours. This aids the display of data in a graphical form if required. Users who purchase WS:Response Suite will receive a Excel macro to format the extracted data into a presentable form. These macros are being extended based upon user needs.
