The WS:3200 allows you to use any conventional phone of your choice with Skype. You can use a cordless phone, a desktop phone or any other phone you wish. You can make and receive calls without being by the computer since the WS:3200 integrates your phone with Skype. You can also use your phone's keypad to make Skype and SkypeOut calls plus you will hear a ring when a call comes in from Skype!

Your phone or base station for your cordless phone plugs into the WS:3200 which in turn plugs into the USB port on your computer and into your phone line. Using the keypad on your phone you can then choose to make a PSTN or a Skype call without being tied to your computer.
